Introducing The Ergo Whisperer
Here at The Back School we’re pleased to introduce “The Ergo Whisperer” with our Director of Education, Dr. Bob Niklewicz PT DHSc CEAS! In these segments Dr. Bob will be serving up bite-sized bits of ergonomics wisdom for you to keep at the ready in your ergo-toolkits.
Greetings! For those I haven’t had the pleasure of teaching, I am Dr. Bob Niklewicz PT DHSc CEAS and I love talking about Ergonomics. A kindred spirit of mine is the Director of The Back School, Ron Porter PT CEAS who has encouraged me to begin my journey as “The Ergo Whisperer.”
From time to time I will post in “The Ergo Whisperer” thoughts and tips about ergonomics that are known as “Ergo Whispers”. They will appear as Facebook or blog posts, emails, tweets and the like.
“Ergo Whispers” will be: quotes, sayings, phrases, key points, helpful hints, cues or other short but practical messages, and a bunch of “truisms” regarding Ergonomics. They can be straight forward or with humor and may look something like this…
“The Ergo Whisperer” whispers…
“If you reach far, it will hurt close.” or… “If you make time for a rest break, take it. If you do not, it may break you.” or… “Try using the Ctrl+Scroll-wheel command in Microsoft programs to enlarge the view to 120 or 150%. The eyes and neck you save may be your own.”
I hope you enjoy the “Ergo Whispers” as they come along.
Dr. Bob Niklewicz PT
